My personal feelings...
After all the reading, video watching and podcast listening,I have come to one conclusion.
What it boils down to is stress. Physically & Emotionally.
Getting pregnant is super easy for some and extremely difficult for others. Now, I can only speak for myself BUT I really think my husband is right (DON'T TELL HIM I SAID THAT). ;-) I think that I am both psychically and emotionally too stressed out for things to really happen for us.
Now, I know I have touched on this subject in the past (before my CP). Since I have experienced a loss I need to evaluate everything I am doing and start making small changes for both my own sanity and my poor husbands!
Full Plate: On average I get about 5-6 hours of sleep when I, personally feel the best after 8 hours or more of sleep. For me, this usually doesn't happen because I am literally ALL over the place.
As a person who is by nature the care taker I forget that self care should be one of my priorities. It may sound or feel selfish at times but I honestly cannot serve my clients, customers, friends and family to the best of my ability if I am not feeling up to par.
Here is the challenge to myself:
I am going to give this challenge 3 months (Feb, Mar & April) and see how it goes. February 23rd will mark one year off birth control. My cycles have been regular so that is a good sign. I have actually rescheduled my Progesterone appointment with my midwife so that I am off birth control a full year before we do any testing as to why I am having a hard time getting/staying pregnant. I have to remind myself on a regular basis that my body has been through a lot this past year. I have lost 100 lbs since my surgery,December of 2015. Most surgeons want clients to wait 18 months to get pregnant. Right now I am most 14 months post op. My body could just need more time since I am under enough stress as it is.
Now, I know this fad is totally over but sometimes we need a reminder to KEEP CALM.
Well... here goes nothing. I hope this blog has made you think of the stress in your own life. What are things you can do to help eliminate some of it? Tell me about it by commenting below, and what you plan to do about de-stressing your life!
Thanks for Reading and BABY DUST to us all!
